Bio

I'm Allison Pennington, a former educator and philanthropy professional based in Bryan, Texas. I have more than a decade of experience writing for causes I believe in and helping others do the same.

I've developed expertise in a wide range of writing formats, from letters to literature reviews, blogs to briefs, guidebooks to grant proposals. Some of my favorite projects have included co-authoring a needs assessment to address poverty in my community, writing a guide to building education collaboratives in rural regions, and explaining Texas's complex school finance system in a 20-minute presentation. I have worked with fourth-graders, PhDs, and just about everyone in between to improve their writing, with an emphasis on developing a clear message, tailoring it for the intended audience, and communicating it with elegance and style.
